Public Records Data Policy

Last Updated: December 2025

1. Source of Information

JailWatch Pro™ collects and monitors information that is already publicly accessible through county jail rosters, detention center websites, and law enforcement public records. We do not obtain, access, or distribute private, sealed, restricted, or confidential data.

We do not hack, bypass security, or access non-public databases. All data is gathered exclusively from publicly available government sources.

2. Nature of Public Records

Jail booking information is public record in most jurisdictions across the United States. This information generally includes:

  • Name
  • Charges listed by the arresting agency
  • Booking date and time
  • Bond amounts (if published)
  • County of arrest

Because this information originates from public agencies, we do not control the content, availability, format, or accuracy of the data.

3. No Private or Sensitive Data Collected

We do not collect or distribute:

  • Social Security Numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Financial information
  • Medical information
  • Juvenile records
  • Sealed court records
  • Any non-public criminal justice data

4. Lawful and Ethical Use Only

By using JailWatch Pro™, you agree to use public record information ethically and lawfully. The Service may not be used for:

  • Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or threats
  • Discrimination or denial of services
  • Shaming, defamation, or posting inmate data on social media
  • Any illegal or deceptive activity
  • Any purpose that violates state bail bonding regulations

5. Accuracy and Timing of Public Data

Because all information originates from third-party government systems, we do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of charges or data
  • Completeness of booking details
  • Availability of certain counties or states
  • Immediate updates
  • Continuous access to any specific jail roster

Some counties update every few minutes; others may update only a few times per day.

6. User Data Responsibility

You agree not to republish or redistribute inmate data outside your own business operations unless permitted by your applicable state laws. Data provided by JailWatch Pro™ may be used for:

  • Internal business functions
  • Client outreach (where legal)
  • Bail bond agency operations under state license
  • Verification of booking status
